How to do Interior Cove Lighting in Artlantis

 

In this quick tutorial, I show you how to setup an interior rendering and make cove lighting possible in Artlantis. There is no tube-type light in Artlantis, so I show you how to cheat by making a tube out of geometry and applying the Neon Light Shader to emit light from the object. The model I'm using happens to be from Sketchup, but you'd set it up the same no matter what your modeling software is.

 

I also cover how to apply and manipulate textures from image files, and make stained glass look like it's being backlit with the ambient slider in the material inspector to have the center ceiling effect as shown in this image.
